Duel PvP: the 12 Arena games, how they work and what they cost

Duel PvP means player versus player: poker, 8 Ball, Tetris, Wordle and eight more games where you play another person for a wager, not the house. Here is what is in the Duel Arena at duel.com/arena, how a match runs, the full poker rules, and what we could and could not verify.

Quick answer. Duel PvP (player vs player) lives in the Duel Arena (duel.com/arena, labelled beta). It has 12 skill games. Duel's rules say every game is a 1v1 match and that wager amounts are agreed before the game starts. You open a game, invite someone with a link, a code or your friends list, and play. Guides say the winner takes the pot.

What is Duel PvP? The Duel Arena explained

Most of Duel is you against the house: slots, live casino and the Originals. Duel PvP is different. It is a lobby of PvP games called the Arena, where it is player versus player: you and another person put up the same wager, play a skill game, and one of you wins the pot. You find it in the top menu of Duel, next to Originals, Casino, Sports and High Scores, at duel.com/arena.

You may also see it called 1v1 betting, head-to-head games or skill games. The page carries a BETA tag, so games, limits and rules can change. A rules button next to it shows Duel's own rules, and they are short:

  1. Each game is a 1v1 match: you play directly against another player.
  2. Wager amounts are agreed before the game starts.

Next to the games, the Arena page also shows a Friends panel (Friends, Requests, Add Friend), an Invites box, and a list of Ongoing Matches you can watch.

Only duel.com. Several unrelated sites use “Duel” or “Duel Casino” in their name. This guide covers the PvP games on duel.com only.

The 12 Duel PvP games

These are the PvP games listed in the Duel Arena on October 14, 2026. Each one is tagged “PvP game”. The “how you win” column is summarised from the rules panel of each game, read on October 14, 2026 (we did not open the twelfth game). Rules can change while the Arena is in beta, so read the panel in the game before you stake anything.

GameTypeHow you win (from Duel's rules)
PokerCardsSit & Go no-limit Texas Hold'em for 2 to 9 players: outlast the table. Full rules below.
8 BallPoolStandard 8-ball with an open break: pot all your own balls, then legally pot the 8-ball. There are three ways to lose on the 8-ball.
TetrisArcade puzzleClear lines to send garbage rows to your opponent; the first stack to hit the ceiling loses.
WordleWord gameRace to solve the same hidden word. If nobody does: most green letters, then most yellow, then fewest guesses.
Type RacerTypingType the same passage first. Best of 1, 3 or 5 rounds; a round ends after two minutes at most; a draw refunds both bets.
SudokuLogic puzzleSame puzzle for both: the first correct grid wins, or the most correct cells when the timer ends. Equal counts refund the stakes.
ConnectBoard gameConnect 4 (7x6), 5 (9x7) or 6 (11x8) on chess-style clocks. A full board is a draw and refunds both stakes.
Flappy BirdArcade reflexFly the same pipes on a shared timer; crash and you restart from the beginning. The most points when the clock hits zero wins.
Color FindReactionFind the odd-coloured tile to climb a level (from 2x2 up to 6x6); a wrong tap drops one. The highest level when the clock runs out wins.
EthnoGuessrPhoto guessingDrop a pin where you think a portrait's ethnicity is from; up to 5000 points a round, highest total wins. Some players find this game uncomfortable.
LinkedIn or InterpolPhoto guessingCall each face LinkedIn or Interpol in 5 seconds; 1 point per correct call over 5, 7 or 9 rounds. A level score refunds both players.
A twelfth gamePhoto judgementA photo-rating game. Its title is a slur, so we do not repeat, open or promote it.

Poker is the only game with cards and chips, which is why it has the longest rules. The others are skill, reflex or judgement games, where the result comes from how you play rather than from a deck or dice. Several rules panels also say that a tie or a draw refunds the stakes.

How Duel PvP matches work

Open a game

Pick a game on the Arena page. A lobby opens with you as the creator and a slot marked “Waiting for player…”.

Get an opponent

Use Share Link or Show code, or Invite friends. Turn on Private Lobby to keep it to people you invite, or press Join a lobby to take an open seat.

Agree the wager and play

The wager is agreed before the game starts. Reports describe both players putting up the same amount and the pot going to the winner's balance.

Duel PvP poker rules

Poker has the longest rules of the Arena. They are in the rules panel inside the poker lobby. In short, it is a Sit & Go no-limit Texas Hold'em for 2 to 9 players, and stacks carry between hands: you outlast the table to claim the top payout.

Duel PvP poker payouts: winner takes all up to 3 players, 70/30 with 4 players, 60/40 with 5 to 6 players, 50/30/20 with 7 to 9 players
Poker prize pool split by number of players, from Duel's poker rules.
TopicWhat Duel's rules say
CardsTwo private hole cards, five community cards (flop, turn, river). Best five-card hand wins. Heads-up, the button posts the small blind and acts first before the flop.
Starting stackEveryone starts with an equal stack of 100 big blinds.
BlindsThey climb on the schedule chosen in the lobby: Standard raises the level every 5 minutes, Turbo every 3, Hyper every 2, or you build a custom structure. Every dealt player also posts a small ante each hand.
BettingFold, check, call, bet or raise. A raise must be at least the size of the previous bet or raise unless you are moving all-in. An uncalled all-in is returned to you, and side pots are built when a player is all-in for less.
Action timerEvery decision is on a clock. When it runs out, a 30-second time bank, one for the whole match, starts draining. With the bank empty you check when possible, otherwise you fold. A disconnected player is folded and blinded down until they return or bust.
EliminationsRun out of chips and you are out, with your finish place. Rising blinds and antes keep the match from stalling. Rabbit hunting is a lobby option, off by default.
PayoutsUp to 3 players: winner takes all. 4 players: top two split 70/30. 5-6 players: 60/40. 7-9 players: top three split 50/30/20. An exact tie at showdown chops the pot.
Shuffle and RNGA cryptographically secure random number generator seeds an unbiased Fisher-Yates shuffle of a fresh 52-card deck every hand. The whole deck order, turn and river included, is locked before any betting, and all dealing happens on the server, so other players' cards never reach your device.

Two things matter for your wallet. The blinds schedule decides how fast a match ends, so a Hyper table is closer to a coin flip than a Standard one. And a short stack is forced all-in by antes and rising blinds, so you cannot sit and wait.

Duel PvP fees and rake: what is verified

This is the question most people ask, and the honest answer is that Duel's own Arena rules do not mention a fee. Some third-party guides repeat a “0% rake, 0 fees” line. Here is what we could and could not confirm:

Every match is 1v1 against another playerVerifiedRule 1 in Duel's Arena rules. Poker Sit & Go is described for 2 to 9 players.

Duel PvP vs Originals vs slots

The three are easy to mix up, but who you play against changes everything:

You play againstWhat costs you moneyDecided by
Duel ArenaAnother playerLosing the match. A fee is not documented.Skill (poker also has luck)
OriginalsThe houseA 0.1% base edge, cancelled by Zero Edge inside the daily allowance.A random result
SlotsThe houseThe slot's house edge, which rakeback gives part of back. See your real RTP.A random result

In short: against the house, the edge is a fixed percentage and you can calculate it. Against a player, there may be no edge at all, but you are betting on being better than someone who also wants your money. Treat it as a skill contest, not as a lottery.

Does Duel PvP earn rakeback, rewards or leaderboard points?

Duel does not say. The Arena rules do not mention rakeback, and the banner on Duel states that the $3m monthly and $25k daily leaderboards are for slots and live games. Rakeback is a share of the house edge, so a game with no house edge may well leave nothing to share, but that is our reading, not a Duel statement. Until Duel confirms it, do not count on Arena wagers for rewards. For the rewards that are documented, see the Duel rakeback ladder.

Duel Arena strategy guides

Because you play a person and not the house, you can learn a game and read your opponent's habits. We add a strategy guide for a game once we have read its rules in the game itself. No strategy guarantees a win.

Duel PvP FAQ

What is Duel PvP?

Duel PvP is the player-versus-player section of the crypto casino Duel, called the Arena, at duel.com/arena. It is labelled beta and holds 12 skill games, such as Poker, 8 Ball, Tetris, Wordle and Type Racer, where you play another person for a wager you both agree before the game starts.

How do I play PvP on Duel?

Create a Duel account, open Arena in the top menu and pick a game. A lobby opens with you as the creator. Share the link or code, or invite a friend, then agree the wager before the game starts. To join someone else's game, press Join Game and paste their link or code.

Is there a free practice mode in Duel PvP?

Most games do. The lobbies of 8 Ball, Wordle, Tetris, Type Racer, Sudoku, Flappy Bird, Color Find, EthnoGuessr and LinkedIn or Interpol have a Play Demo or Practice button for a game with no opponent. The Poker lobby does not show one.

Which games are in Duel PvP?

8 Ball, EthnoGuessr, Tetris, Wordle, Poker, Type Racer, Sudoku, LinkedIn or Interpol, Color Find, Flappy Bird and Connect, plus a twelfth photo-judgement game whose title we do not repeat.

Is Duel PvP only 1v1?

Duel's Arena rules say each game is a 1v1 match against another player. The one exception we found is Poker, whose own rules describe a Sit & Go for 2 to 9 players.

Does Duel PvP take a fee or rake?

Duel's two-line Arena rules do not mention a fee. Third-party guides repeat a 0% rake claim that we could not confirm on Duel itself. In Poker, the published payout splits (winner-take-all, 70/30, 60/40, 50/30/20) add up to 100% of the prize pool. Check the lobby before you stake money.

How do I join a friend's game on Duel PvP?

Press Join Game at the top of the Arena and paste the game link or join code. The host gets the link or code from the lobby with Share Link or Show code, or invites you from the Friends panel.

Can I watch other people's Duel PvP matches?

Yes. The Ongoing Matches list on the Arena page shows each game in progress with its pot and a Spectate button.

Is Duel PvP the same as Duel Originals?

No. Originals such as Dice, Limbo and Plinko are games against the house, with a 0.1% base edge that Zero Edge cancels inside the daily allowance (see the Originals comparison). In the Arena you play another person, so the result depends on skill and on the wager you agreed.

Does Duel PvP count for rakeback or the leaderboard?

Duel does not say. Its rules panel does not mention rakeback, and the leaderboard banner names slots and live games. Do not count on Arena wagers for rewards until Duel confirms it.

Is Duel PvP poker fair?

Duel's poker rules say each hand uses a fresh 52-card deck shuffled with a cryptographically secure random number generator and an unbiased Fisher-Yates shuffle, with the full deck order fixed before any betting and all dealing done on the server.

Is it the same as the RuneScape Duel Arena?

No. This guide is about the Arena on duel.com, a crypto casino. It has nothing to do with the RuneScape Duel Arena or with Minecraft and Rust duel plugins that share the name.

Beta and responsibility. The Arena is in beta, so games, limits and fees may change without notice. We last checked it on October 14, 2026, and we only state what Duel shows. Gambling is for adults (18+) and the rules depend on where you live. Only stake money you can afford to lose.
