Know Your Meme added its entry on 12 June 2024, when the trend was at its peak.
What does "Freakbob is calling" mean?
It is a TikTok format: a calm or wholesome video slowly fades in, then the FreakBob call screen interrupts it, often with the "Pick Up the Phone" ringtone. The joke is simple: would you answer when Freakbob calls? Popular versions use pet videos and the "stone sliding" transition, and the name appears in stylised fonts such as 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝓫𝓸𝓫 (Know Your Meme, Daily Dot).
Is FreakBob an official SpongeBob character?
No. SpongeBob SquarePants was created by Stephen Hillenburg and premiered on Nickelodeon in 1999; the character belongs to Paramount. FreakBob is unofficial fan content, and no source shows any involvement by Nickelodeon or Paramount.
FreakBob on Duel.com
On Duel, FreakBob is the casino's SpongeBob-inspired mascot that "fronts" its live blackjack streams (Complex, SoMuchPoker). The character performs chaotic table bits and parodies with the dealers and guest dealers (PlayNoKYC).
- May 2026: earliest dated mention on X (15 May). Clavicular brawled with the character at the table that month (unofficial Duel guide).
- 2 to 4 June 2026: segments with guest dealer Bonnie Blue (unofficial guide). Some of these segments were criticised by gambling media as offensive (Tribuna, 3 June 2026).
- 8 June 2026: a widely shared clip of resident dealer Nelli's "first ever encounter with Freakbob" (X).
- July 2026: an AI-generated video showing FreakBob at Andrew Tate's arrest circulated online (Complex, 20 July 2026).
FreakBob vs Kinkki: Duel Arena 1
On 29 August 2026 in Orlando, FreakBob fought Duel dealer Daniel "Kinkki" Cao in an unsanctioned exhibition bout billed as Duel: Arena 1, with Clavicular as referee. FreakBob's hand was raised at the end, but there is no official result (unofficial Duel guide).
Who is inside the FreakBob suit?
Duel has not officially named the performer. Duel's founder Ossi "Monarch" Ketola wore the FreakBob suit on 5 September 2026 during his own Kick livestream at a rally in Helsinki; police held his group and released them without charge (Casino.org, SoMuchPoker). Claims that he is the regular performer rest on fan posts and affiliate sites only, and a viewer reported seeing "multiple freakbobs", which suggests more than one person wears the costume.
Is FreakBob still on Duel?
Duel shut its live blackjack table "indefinitely" in mid-September 2026 after an intruder reportedly entered its studio (win.gg, 18 September 2026). We found no confirmed return of FreakBob since.
Is the promo code Duel2027 connected to FreakBob?
No. CASHFREE is an independent affiliate site and has no relationship with the FreakBob meme creators or with the performer on Duel. If you are here for Duel itself, read our Duel review.
